I bought a sub2000 in .40S&W a couple years ago. I wasn't even looking to buy one in particular but I had passed on a them at first. when one popped up at a gun show I jumped on it. have to say that it was a good buy. not the best when it comes to fiinish but it gets the job done. pretty accurate for what it is. very simple design and takes up a very small footprint that get even smaller when folded. I keep mine in an old laptop bag with 2-32 round mags of WWB and one 15 with federal something other JHPs. was surprised at the what it could do at 25 yards. want to see what it does at 50 next time I get to the range.

Hey lazi, I saw a youtube review where this guy was getting pretty tight (within what looked like 10 inches, though low and to the left) groupings at 100 yards.
I'm pretty impressed that it folds up small and is accurate enough for the role you would use it in with a pistol caliber round.
But as I said, impossible to find one, and I want the shotgun even more, though I expect that will be even harder to find.

What is the legality of the sub2k? Is it considered a rifle? If it is, I don't see how it can have an 18 inch barrel and fold up into 16 inches, unless the chamber is considered part of the barrel.

rifles must have 16" barrels and shotguns must has 18" barrels.
it is different in some states though. I think anything with with a overall length shorter than "?" must be registered as a pistol.
is there a specific shotgun you are looking at?

oh and yes its a 16" barrel on the s2k.
the front sight works but is probably my biggest gripe on the whole thing. not only does it look ugly but it's crappy built. but it does work though...

Oh sorry for not specifying, the Kel-Tec KSG, its not out yet. I want to get one before someone decides its a bad idea for civilians to have 2 tube mags with 7 rounds each in a 26 inch bullpup shotgun
According to current rules it should be legal, 26.1 inch overall length, 18.5 inch barrel, only 7 rounds in each magazine tube with a manual switch.

ksg looks cool. watched a nutnfancy video on it and it seemed have it's quirks when they used it.
think I'd go with a tube fed semi auto for the money though. right now a mossberg 500 is my only shotgun but I think I may pick up a 930 sometime in early '12 if the funds permit.

Not bad MB. It's a lot cooler and I like that. Sure wish it stays like this and not go back to the heat wave.

ksg looks cool. watched a nutnfancy video on it and it seemed have it's quirks when they used it. If you're talking about the trigger staying in after shooting it and racking it with the trigger still pulled, they fixed that. They also fixed the slide release to be easier and more comfortable to use. But I do hope that lot of people won't know this, and won't buy it until sometime next year when they realize it
