I liked my old job. weak management. best way I could describe their efforts. two guys in a sinking boat, one guy bailing water with a spoon and the other guy sitting on a bucket watching him. I guess I offended them by pointing out the obvious.

We've got a really good Sheriff here, He is smart and really cares about doing the job he was elected to do and he looks out for us.

always good to know that your coworkers and the higher ups are par or better. sure helps the days go by smoother when you know everybody is on the same page. at least reading the same book...

Well we got one airhead dispatcher, but thankfully she claims she is gonna quit once she gets so far along in her pregnancy. Come to find out the deputies can't stand her, they say she will be playing games, talking on the phone (her cell) or out smoking and misses radio calls.

Time to call it a night. Already home...ready to hit the sack. Talk to you guys later!

This is coming from way out in left field, but I'm tired and not thinking straight and I'm not sure what made me think of this.

Do you remember a Sheriff named Carl Sparks? He was the Kern County Sheriff in 2001 or so when a couple of his deputies shot and killed a kidnapper while in persuit. The kidnapper actually had two of his victims, still alive, in his Bronco when it happened. I was so proud of the way he handled the press when he defended his deputies against their verbal attacks. The press had to have been ashamed of themselves for the things they said. Kern County California is where I was born and raised.

For some reason this just popped up in my head.

GOOD FOR THEM! Hopefully they were NOT Crucified in the press(although they probably were)and hopefully they have been able to successfully deal with this traumatic event. Yes, The Scumbag deserved justice, and in this case justice WAS served!
