I am a member of several, but only particpate here and Sigforum and occasionally, Bladeforums. Too many internet ninjas on most of the gun sites, so I don't even bother.

I never use my real name it just never made sense to me and I figured they didn't need to know it unless we are in a deal. This forum is great because of the friendly nature of it here, no flaming like on the other forums just because you have a different view than theirs.

That's exactly what I love about the Yard. We can disagree without all the posturing and bravado of the other forums. I've seen many a pissing contest on Sigforum, and it's kept pretty tight compared to most of them.

The real name thing was stupid, but by the time I became active I had enough posts that Para wouldn't change it, and I didn't want to start over with another name. Now, looking back, maybe that would have been a good idea. But....

Talked to you guys tomorrow or in a few hours, sleep is off because of some of my medicine. I'll be glad to be able to sleep on my side again, sleeping on my back never has been as comfortable.

The difference in thickness it thickness is really only .002". I think what happened is that the Muddy DF was just so much thicker, and that is what I got used to.

I don't think I'd trade my dogfather in for a 9-11, especially after just getting the DF.

I think they will be in different leagues when it comes to chopping. I have an NMSFNO @ .25" & 8.5" of blade that weighs about the same, if not exactly the same as the DF. For its size, the NMSFNO is a great chopper, but doesnt compare to the DF in shear chopping power, and I don't find the DF too heavy to carry on long hikes.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm hoping that the SY 9-11 is 3/16th, more like a bushwhacking blade. Someone who went to blade said that it was. I can't remember who now.

Also, did anyone participate in the Ganza?
