looking at something like a air hawk or trail np. I really want the trail np xl model but don't think I'm willing to dish out three bills on anything just yet. so I'm thinking a nicer .177 and picking up a nice .22 pellet gun later on in life.

lazi, IF they have one and IF it is possible, you might want to consider plain old .40S&W.

Ryan, nope, HOPEFULLY we will just be able to relax and maybe to to a conservation area about 125 miles away over in Kentucky called "Land between the lakes. It's supposed to be really nice.

NO doubt it would be nice. BUT at that cost, and specially if it will/might be a "Here comes the horde" defensive tool, the ability to "Pick up" cheaper/more available ammo would in my opinion, be the way to go. BUT no one can make your decision, bottom line is it's your gun and your desires and what we say really doesn't matter, just advice.

agree again... just looking for advice since im just sold on either. the conversion wouldnt be for SD or SHTF. im thinking maybe ~1k-2k round through that barrel in my entire life if I'm lucky. maybe a hog hunt or two if I ever get a chance. complete opposite of all day plinker. and maybe keeps me from running out and buying a 10mm or something one day.

Hmmm. I can't get a real gun, but I can get a BB gun. Any suggestions on a pistol?

well I'm pretty happy with mine. some knit picks but overall its been a great firearm. even though its bulky I wouldn't hesitate to grab it for whatever needs some .45 acp lovin.

OK, wasn't really sure why you wanted it. That's like me, I don't need a 4th of the guns I have, but I like them and I have them. Some are SD type and some are hunting type and some are just "Because".

Ryan, when you say BB gun, are you talking about those cheap won't shoot through a piece of saran wrap or do you mean a serious Air Rifle?

I have a KelTec Sub2000 rifle in .40 cal. I like it but that's going to be it in .40 cal for me. everything else will be im the .30s for me I think. the .40 super just popped up out of nowhere and got me going. I'm hoping the super conversion will get me into hand cannon territory with my existing hardware for $200. but I can't wake up and shoot crap with it every day.

I need a 9mm but just can't pull the trigger on one yet , the 45 is my pick of the litter but the glock 2o in 10 mil looks good as well.

Ryan, this would be a good one, and I can attest to RWS quality. Mine is an RWS diana model 45 in .177 I bought it in 1991 and it is STILL a certified skunk killer!

Ryan, you said pistol, sorry. Oh and here is a link to an RWS rifle.

Link wouldn't work so I got rid of it.
