So true JJ, so true. Hopefully his story will get out there and be a GOOD inspiration for these younger kids. So many of them don't have a very good roll model at home.

Oh Hey JJ, Congratulations on getting to go to the White house for the Ceremony. And In my opinion it was made even better by Sgt, Meyers humility. That seems to be getting to be a rarer commodity all the time. I missed this post, that's really cool JJ, congrats

The Gunny, who was handling the media contacts, I used to work for got approval to bring in help for the media relations. Since we are good friends, and some how he thinks I am competent, he requested TAD orders for me. It got me out of a conference and gave me the chance to meet a hero.

GREAT! I always said it pays to have friends in the good old boy network! That is something you will never forget, because of the place the situation, and the person involved. AND because he is a humble person that makes it all the better. I envy you JJ. If you are ever in contact with him again, please tell him this old Air Force Sgt said WELL DONE and that he wears the title Hero well.
