Dad makes Mexican corn bread, it has corn and peppers in it. It's alright, much better than just plain old cornbread.

My grandma used to make cracklin corn bread, has little bits of cracklin mixed up in it. Best as I can figure, cracklins is just pork fat trimmed off something else. I never could eat that stuff.

People around here eat some strange stuff. You ever hear of livermush?

It's basically scraps left over after you process a hog, mixed with spices and cornmeal and cooked in a pot, then poured into a loaf pan to set up. You slice it up and fry it. Actually MUCH better than it sounds, especially with a little mustard and onions to go with it on a sandwich.

I've had Mexican cornbread but didn't care much for it.

Got a house fire, possible residents at home I'm gonna be busy for a bit.

BAD NEWS The house burned down, total loss.

Well it was a busy night for a while but finally calmed down to the News Vultures wanting to know if anybody died in the fire. Scumbags. Oh well my relief should be here before long so I'm gonna sign off for now. Catch ya later.

I feel for the people whose house burned down. We had a house fire a few years ago and it is a very long process to get "life" back to normal!
