In my experience a majority of the media are vultures. There are a few good ones but they often get passed up for the tabloid journalism that seems to be popular today.

Many don't. I have had the pleasure of working with several good News reporters and have been in a couple of documentaries. I have also worked with scumbag reporters who lie and distort anything to fit their slant. Which is a reason I always record any interview I do with the media. Though they are far less frequent these days.
