Izzy - I just looked at your link. I considered getting the handled model, but I didn't think it would fit in the Tactical Tailor IV pouch I have. Its good that I went with the handleless, because the tin BARELY squeezes inside the aforementioned pouch.
If I was going to use the tin for more than an emergency survival kit, I would DEFINITELY opt for the model you have. However, all of my kits include a USGI Canteen Cup and/or 3pc German Mess Kit for general use so the Trangia is a "back up".

It will be interesting to see if these cans will fit into the LMIW sheaths?

I very highly doubt they will fit. These things are pretty big.

That was what I figured. The quest will be known when our sheaths get here and are available.

While not a "large" repository, a polished Altoid's Tin would provide some storage and signaling ability.
You might also consider folding an aluminum bread "pan" (available at WalMart for $1.88) to allow for water boiling. I've tested this method, and its good for one fold / unfold before it leaks.
