Ok maybe I am a little off here.
I did get one of the 300,000 post patch and for the life of me I cannot think of a more generous gesture done by the owners of any forum.
I don't know what it cost Dan and Patti when you include the wages, postage and cost of the patch its self, truth is I don't want to know, it is enough for me to know what good people own this site.

This place is my virtual coffee shop where I get to hang out with some really great people and talk about almost anything that comes to mind.

I think we should not be asking "What can Dan & Patti do for us, but rather what can we do for them."

What I suggest is that something for them. Here are a couple of my suggestions;
1) Each dog purchase a postcard from their hometown and mail it to Dan & Patti with a thank and the date and time of the 500,0000 post written on it.
2) Send a photo of yourself and/or your knives with a note it thanking them for their site.

Let me know what you think

I think that's a great idea, yote.

I don't think anyone here is asking for a handout. I'm sure everyone here would be fine with Dan coming up with something special to comemorate the special occasion and make it available for purchase. That's really all I had in mind when I started this thread.

I know SP, and I think on this thread there have been multiple suggestions on what we could buy. Personally I would go for dog tags.
If I came across as suggesting that people were looking for a handout my apologies as that was not my intent.

I just had a vision of a cork board in Dan's office with dozens (hopefully 100s) of postcards from all over the world saying thank you.

I think that's the least we could do for them. I'm all for it. Now if we could just get someone to start the SYKCO appreciation thread.

I Think that is a Wonderful Idea. I'm sure Dan and Patti and the rest of the SYKCO Crew would really enjoy that.

How 'bout that 1311, eh?
