Isn't that the sad fact. I have had friends that went the negative route, but many more that stayed positive. Everyone changes from academy and the job, but thankfully not everyone changes for the worse.

Especially considering the state of funding for public safety, this is a huge acheivement. Good luck and take advantage of the many hidden opportunities in LE to do really exciting work and move up in the chain.

Tone, congrat's on surviving your first week! So many things in life seem insurmountable at the time, but after you survive them....you'll end up looking back on the experience with pride and an incredible sense of satisfaction.

My last year of college was hell. I had to stay up three nights a week to keep up with my work load, and was living on Ramen Noodles. As the pressure to complete my TWO thesis's (dual major) mounted I thought I was going to crack. Eventually it was over - just as quickly as the sun comes up in the morning. Enduring the "fifth year of architectural school hell" paid off in spades.

You're going to view your time at the Academy the same way.

week 2 of the academy done! it was hard but i got through it. i dont know if its getting easier or if im just getting used to it. think im just getting used to it.

anyways, just wanted to say thanks again for your guys continued support! wish i could keep up with whats going on around here but i always have reports to write or have a test to study for. talk to you guys later!
