Dog's

My little special project is basically done and I should be able to post spec's and pic's in the next day or two.

You have been asking for something like this and I heard ya It clearly delivers on the Performance to Price Ratio. It incorporates a unique feature for functionality that you may not have expected. It will be accessible for most.

Stay Tuned

Dan

Can we speculate?

A bottle opener?
A fixed blade that Folds?
A rebate?

Ok who has guesses?

I will be crazy happy if it's a parang, golok, or a longer DF. But a SS4 in 154Cm would please many as well. I like choppers!

"Clearly delivers on the Performance to Price Ratio", "will be accessible for most", "don't think of it as a knife"...

We've been asking for a lot of things, but one thing we've been pretty loud about is a chopper. Taking all those things into consideration I speculate it's...

A Machete.

I'll take it.

Laid in bed late last night thinking about the endless possibilities. My very first thought was "Swamp Warden with a Bottle Opener or Pointed Glass Breaker". My next thought was a version of the S4LE we're all asking for.

Whatever it is, I'll most likely take it (or 2, 3, 4........................)

If it does turn out to be a Scrap Warden then could the unique feature be removable scales?

I have neither a quality hatchet nor a quality machete. Therefore, these would be intriguing as long as the hatchet is large enough to be used in camp (Ratchet I'm glancing your way little fella).

I think the general consensus is that Dan meant it will be affordable for most people. This lead (further) to my belief that it will be a Scrap Warden since the Swamp Warden was only $59.

Good point, that and he referred to it as his little project and the skelly has to be one of the most requested. That said I am really hoping it is something more

You made two other points leading me to believe its a Scrap Warden. Remember all of the Wiener Dog hints?

If it is a Scrap Warden I hope it differs enough from the SW to be a justifiable purchase for us. We like our SW's, but would prefer a longer blade. Add removable scales and it would be a very neat necker (without scales) / edc (with scales) blade.

Clarification....by "SW" I meant SWAMP Warden even though SW could mean Scrap Warden too

You don't need a car when you have knives

You are in good company. I bounce between car modding, guns, cameras, and knives.

I saw this thread and thought why does Dan do this? Then I realized I already wanted what he hasn't even shown.

SB - I have my own hopes for this release, but as you said "new steel is better than no steel" .

At any rate, Dan's comment about it being accessible to most people is reassuring as I've massively overspent on knives lately.

Well if 1 human year is 7 dog years then 1 human week is 7 dog weeks.

So 2 weeks is more like 3.5 months (14/4)

I think I just solved Bussekin math!

I say...either a kukri, parang or small blade like the SS4 LE...

Bring it!

BOTH!

This suspense is killing me, so I am going to forget about it and use my money to buy a blade that is versatile. You know something I can use in any situation be it survival or just trimming cuticles.

I don't think it'll be a big blade since we just got the sword, but I'm guessing something small as well. Maybe our version of the warden but with handle wraps.

As much as I would love a SS4, judging from Dan's post, "my special little project", I thinking it's something completely different than we've seen. But I really don't know...the suspense is killing me!

If its a big A$$ choppah ( the Scrap11), A Scrap Warden or A Fighting Dog (like the Busse DSF) then I am down for multiples! Anything else I'll still buy, but those three are my dream knives right now

Is anyone else having problems viewing this thread? All of the other threads do NOT run off my screen, but this one "resizes" the moment I open it to cause the text to not "wrap" and fit on my screen but it runs off screen.

Any computer savvy people out there that can explain how to fix this?

Seth, my first thought was.....

Scrap Warden with Bottle Opener

It turned out to be a decent week - I was 50% correct about what the release would be (SYKC version of the Warden) and I bought a new-to-me rifle today!
