I am not truly sure how a Ganza works, never been one. When they are held I am in bed sleeping for work (all I ever work is midnight to 8am) and I trust the safety of our little girl Penny to her Crackshot Mama! (penny is our 13 year old Jack russell). Keep reading this thread and I a sure someone that has gotten in on them will explain to you how they work. All I DO know is it is a madhouse!

Hello Gnarly, welcome to the Yard. As a relative newbie myself (less than a year) here's my explanation of how a Ganzaa works. Ganzaa's are conducted by Jerry Busse, proprietor of Busse Combat Knives. They are announced over on the Busse Combat Knives forum on Blade Forums. He will give the information on what will be available and for what price. Quantities are limited and will vary for each item. Jerry will announce that the Ganzaa will begin at around a certain time, the ones I have seen have been on a Sunday evening between 9:00-10:00 pm eastern time, but not until he posts a Go Go Go on one of the five forums affiliated with Busse Combat Knives. As soon as the Go signal is given You must send an email with your desired order to both Jerry's personal email and his company email. Orders are then filled in order of first come first served with the time stamp on the email serving as the time of order. Some Items with limited numbers of availability will sell out within minutes or less. The Scrap Yard wiener dog is an example of this, which is a highly sought after knife that so far has been only available at a Ganzaa, and maybe a few at one of the shows. I have left out some details I'm sure. A search of Ganzaa over on BF should bring up more info. I have participated in 2 of them and was able to fill my order, but I think I was lucky.

Dan will probably announce that the Scrapivore is "Up for sale" here on the site, I would figure in a thread all it's own with instructions to email Renee with your information, name address payment instructions (they usually wait on actually getting any money from you when until it's actually ready to be shipped to you) then you wait for Renee to let you know it's ready. At some date it could probably be put up on the "for sale section" of the site. At least with the Scrap Yard its usually not necessary to send an email to pre-order (Swamp Rat is a different story), they will be announced to go up in the store at a certain time and your order there serves as pre-order. They won't charge you until your order is ready to ship, but that could take a few weeks or more in some cases.

Been a few days since I put forth my love for a blade that we are discussing so here it is!
I like the way the Yard does their order process better than Busse Combat's Ganza's--however, it is kinda a thrill when you score something out of the Ganza.

Keep in mind the Wiener's were Ganza only (thus far). I did that Ganza just so I wouldn't be left out....didn't want to be a man without a Wiener <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I have to admit the ganzaaa thing is a stroke of true marketing genius, the more scarce something seems, the more people will tend to want it, its hardcoded in our dna. Did you see Swamp Rat announced another piece of EDC 154CM? The HCLE

HCLE 4.0 would be a good one to have in place of a 154Cm S4LE.
That is until Dan "Brings It!"

The 4" HCLE is a really nice knife, and pairs well with larger blades! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

My sentiments exactly, so I ordered a pair but would much rather see our beloved SS4154. Thanks for the heads up MD. Sorry, Dan.
