How much does this stuff cost? I keep hearing how good it is...

Unfortunately, I haven't gained an affinity for drinking anything "straight". Even the finest of bourbon's that I've bought...they get mixed with Diet Coke...and I don't just drink one. I think it's the redneck in me.

So, how much $$ and what's the alcohol content?

Yeah...I'm a moron sometimes. Thanks Skunk!

$60 isn't horrible for a nice bourbon....I drink a couple of small batches that run in that range. Funny...I still mix them though

For the 15yo Pappy, the price is less of an obstacle than finding it the first place -- this is the first bottle I've been able to lay my hands on. I've got more than a case of 10yo Rip Van Winkle though, and it's quite good stuff too.

Ahhh, I see...the fun is in the hunt. I didn't realize it was so rare. That is interesting. I'll have to take a look around Austin and see what I find. Thanks for the info.

Well, this last weekend I was on a trip and had my old standby of Evan Williams Single Barrel. To my horror a few of the guys wanted to mix it--no. Another wanted to take shots of it, no again. Somethings are meant to be mixed with ice and a good cigar. If this keeps on popping up I will have to try some sooner than latter.

Thanks for pushing me over the edge. Now I need to go and fin some but I would rather spend my money on a Scrapivore!

I think with the Scrapivore's price point though, you oughtta be able to afford Both!

Is there a SPEC's in Austin? If any place has it, it would be them. Might be worth a trip to Hoooston

Bourbon and coke is good. If you are going to drink bourbon straight at least give it a splash or a rock or two...ummm good
