I was thinking today that it would be cool if the Yard bought out a pink knife ( Either the rec C or the crinkle coat )that we could buy for our better halves with maybe some of the profit from sales going to the breast cancer charity.
Maybe something like a SS4 but with a 3" blade.
What's everyone think, stupid idea or not ?

There was talk about a pink Scrapivore in another thread, I like the idea. I would pay extra for charity.
There is one other charity I can think of that would be close to Dan's heart, but then I think it would have to be a Blue Scrapivore.
He could even release them November 14th

We were mentioning that the other day. I remember when I first came to the Yard almost 2 years ago and mentioned a pink knife and someone, I can't remember now, blasted me for it. Oh well, it is still a great idea. I know that I would get my wife one. I doubt there are many of us who have not had someone deal with this horrible cancer. Unified for a great cause and our women folk get something cool too.

As far as making a donation connected to the purchase of a knife we are not staffed to coordinate such an activity. I would prefer that that each of us donate what we can to the charities that mean the most to us. There are plenty of great causes and they all need our help. Dan, I think we figured you wouldn't be able to coordinate such a large undertaking. It would probably require an other full time employee at least just to keep track of things. It was just a thought and the fact that you MIGHT consider this color is really something. Diffenately not a mainstream color but would be nice just to show that we all care.
