R17 As far as I know the ONLY Regulators that are flat ground are the Test Team version. ALL the others are sabre ground. Again, someone please correct me If I am wrong.

R17, you MIGHT also want to check out the SOD (Son Of Dogfather) It is virtually nothing more than a short Dog Father.

Thanks

Don'r sweat it. Any Regulator is a great combat knife. I'd say more but I can't. But my neigbor's son has one with the Marines in Afghanistan. It works.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

When I get my chance in the sandbox, I can tell you right now I wouldn't trust my life to the Gerber LMF II when I have the option of one of my SYKCOs. not that it's not a solid blade, I just can't see myself prying open doors with it if I had to, and one never knows when the SHTF what you'll need to put your equipment through. A bit more money may pay dividends down the road.
