Wow- I had zero idea about that guys ? Does are so easy to kill here that there is no sport in it at all. Our blacktail are so small that it isn't worth killing IMO . I hunt trophy elk mostly with a bow. We have MANY elk within waliking distance of my house. As for the meat.........blacktail are NASTY tasting- but the Elk are acceptable. We have so much fishing- crabbing- clamming etc that one would never go hungry around these parts. Thanks for the clarification. If I drove around my town with a doe strapped to my rig I wouldn't be accepted in many places . I had no idea. Thanks

I think I am getting hungry there for some chili and steaks. Bob, in OK we are encouraged to take more does because there are so many. Like others said it is important for good herd management. Now me personally, doe meat is by far better in my opinion. Not saying that I don' t like stage on knives though! Yeah, Oregon has a heck of a team this year.....will watch and cheer for them too.

We can only wish Randy !! Win or lose in the natty- has been a great time !! Ron ( sportsnut) has season tickets to the Ducks games !! It sounds like the " doe issue" is pretty standard for whitetails and such.Good herd management is a MUST !!!

I know my cousin is hoping to call the games this year too.
