Just gave Mr. DPMS a cleaning.

My forever loved Bandicoot, a blank I "did up" and of course a YK.

Man we were doing tandy crafts back in the 70s
& I still use a belt I did in the mid 90s for camping.
That reminds me,I need to get some leather & make a strop.
Thanks for the memory jog.

Nice sheaths Ron.

It's better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it.

I've been thinking about the kit that JRE sells.

Nice sheaths Ron.

You should do a Tandy trip. Project like this are much more fun than sitting on the couch. That sheath on the left was one I got with the coot from Swamp Rat, but the other two I put together.

Thanks man. Seeing your work was inspirational. I have enough blades that I will have projects for quite a while.

From the factory, the DPMS shot Ruassian ammo with no issues. My bushmaster .308 did not (nor did my fathers). We needed to replace the hammer srpings with "extra-power" springs. Now they are both good to go and are alot of fun. I still love FAL's, but the AR platform just works.

JRE sheaths are nice. I like the way they keep the bootom of the sheath squared off. I tried that on a project once, but I jacked it up. Nothing a trip to Tandy didn't fix.

That is defiantly a "Mr."

What a beautiful gun! If only it didn't cost a weeks pay to shoot on a Sunday afternoon eh? Er... my weaks pay!

I love that Lil' Caper you did up Ron!

I may try to chew up some blanks this coming summer. So many SUPER Steels around these days. Companies are sell custom cut blanks to order of all of the new CPM metals.

For now I'll stay with summer and 440C,cheap,polishes bright and is very forgiving. When I make a knife i need all the forgiveness I can get!

Well done Ron! Thanks for sharing.

Peace.

Beautiful set-up!

DPMS guns are real straight shooters. Nice blades too.
