436 miles for me to Knob Creek. Do-able, but still a good drive. Probably make it in 7-8 hours, depending on how many stops I made.

I can drive to Atlanta, attend the Saturday session and the induction dinner, then drive home. It would be a loooong day, but it could be done. Especially if I had a co-driver.

I'm probably going to drive down Saturday morning this year and stay the night there in Atlanta. Unless something changes, that's my plan.

Hmmm....looks like flights from Austin to Blade are running around 380 at the moment. Maybe if a couple Dogs could room together (twin beds or something)...I'll have to think hard on this...

The chief cause of unhappiness and failure is trading what you want most in life for what you want at the moment.

I'm hoping that I can find someone to room with to keep costs down. I think Randy had talked about it, but I know he wants to find out about Patty first.

It looks like the event schedule is April (7), 8, 9, 10 -- the actual Machine Gun Shoot begins the morning of the 8th, so (assuming that the traditional opportunities hold) the crew will arrive at the Golden Manor on the 7th, and the early-bird/nightstalker sale (with cheesecake) will be that evening. If you are traveling long distances for the best selection available at that pre-event sale, remember to account for time zone changes to avoid late arrival disappointment. If you're going to skip the pre-sale and try for Friday morning, be aware that opening-day crowds entering the range back up onto the highway -- allow for at least an hour's delay, quite possibly more.

Well I would love to attend both but the way things are going at the moment I will be lucky to make it to the Russelville Show in Sept (assuming Busse goes back).

I heard a rumor that Dan was going to offer something he had never done before.

Yup, a large res-c (reg grip without the top guard) 11-1/2 to 12 inch 3/16 inch thick differential tempered FALSE EDGED larger blade with a 3 1/2 to 4 inch companion blade, in a piggy back sheath! All for $203.95!

You better not pay too much attention to those voices! You should hear what the voices in MY head are telling me....
