BTW, does anyone else notice that faint Hamon line that shows up on the blade about two thirds of the way up? It may be nothing but it's there, it stands out slightly more in person. I know Dan said it was through hardened, though... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> No mater it kinda adds something to it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I just looked, and there DOES seem to be some kind of a line there. Hm......

I just checked it with my cheapo micrometer and it says right at 5/16 - .3125.
