DT, Just tell her it IS for you but if she cooks and cleans and does the laundry the way she should you MIGHT let her use it once a month or so! I tell Patty that all the time about my Muppy and Wiener or is it only in my mind!

Oh Now I forgot MY manners. Welcome to the greatest addiction you will ever have Rice. Don't worry though it is a LEGAL addiction. You'll just join the ranks of the rest of and stay broke buying Busse Boy knives (though we are partial to DAN'S)!

Welcome to the Yard Rice! Blade Forums is usually a good source to look for older model Busse-kin knives. Unfortunately for broke folks like me, the secondary market prices on Busse-kin are always higher than original retail. If you're willing to take a chance and be very persistant, Ebay occasionally has what you may be seeking. If I recall, there were a ton of 'Vore LEs up for bidding recently. Not sure if there are many left still, but it might be worth a shot if you want one.
Excellent choice on the YardHook, My first Bussekin was, and still is, my YardHook. It's a Sage blade with Tan handle show edition that I was kindly upgraded to from a Fellow Dog. Thanks again Jared! Be careful with the Hooks, they're bloodthirsty. I've been nipped by mine more than once.

I see you're in Louisville; the Busse crew comes to town and sets up a booth at the Spring and Fall Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoots. That's a great opportunity to buy Busse Combat, Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard knives at release prices and to feel how they fit your hand before you buy. Having a local show twice a year is a great opportunity; start making plans.

Welcome aboard <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
You should try the ganza, the worst that can happen is that you just don't get your knife.
A "GO GO GO" will be posted between 9-10pm est by Jerry Busse on any of the Busse family forums.
There will be people impersonating him trying to trick you into giving up or sending your mail early, just keep your mind straight and make sure its the correct Jerry (look at the number of posts he has or if it says "moderator" under his name).
If the forums are locked up from people frantically reloading, the emergency plan is 9:55pm people are free to send their emails.
Have your email ready to go with all the data filled in so all you have to do is press "send".

To all, Thanks for all the welcome, again! That wasn't the first time I've posted, I'm just not that frequent of a poster. I prefer to only post when something strikes me as personal. But never the less THANKS! I tried to log in and watch the chaos, but I couldn't find where to go! And Jim Thanks neighbor! I know all about the "shoot". I usually work Security for it! That's right, I'm a orange shirt and we are the only ones allowed allowed to walk around [censored] and locked. I had no idea the Busse stuff was even there. That and I'm usually busy trying to keep the shoplifters at bay! Yes I know, I thought the same thing.. shoplifters? At the worlds largest machine gun shoot? Are these people stupid? AND THE ANSWER IS .... unequivocally YES!!!! you wouldn't believe how much ammo a person can stuff in their underwear...... anyway I just fell into this stuff after last fall's shoot. Wish I had found out earlier! If anybody on here has a bucket list, and I know you do!!! Make sure the Saturday night shoot at Knob creek makes the top 10. Trust me I don't care how far away it is, there is nothing like it anywhere, at all, ever! Trust me twice a year for 5+ years and i still giggle like a school girl when the first 50gal drum of diesel erupts into a fire ball! Also whichdog, thanks and would love to see the pic. I'll try and post some of my hook. I love that thing. It just feel perfect. but then again it may just be the scrapyard. I've never held another one. My wallet starts to squeal everything i think about finding more. I'm gonna have to get past that! Thanks again to everyone! Rice
