Just got back from Costco. They have a house brand of products called Kirkland. They just started selling a bourbon. Aged 7 years, small batch, 103 Proof. I was skeptical at first . But, for $20 a bottle I took a chance. Man am I glad I did. Very smooth, and just plain mmmmmmgood. Yall should check it out if u have a Costco close.
not to steal jerry's line but let's drink.

I tried the house brand tequila and it was terrible!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I am glad to see the bourbon is better! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

CostCo Pizza is GREAT!
Much better than Domino's or Pizza Hut or whatever. Unlike those other brands that go bad within a half hour of getting the pie, Costco is still good for breakfast the next morning.

I'll try their booze next time I go

I will give it a try. Might need to break a bottle in on a "Sip-in-Talk"

We should schedule one...any dates sounds good or how about a topic.

Thanks for the heads up on the bourbon

Dan

They were selling Costco labeled Macallan scotch too. I wonder who is making the bourbon for them.

Sadly, all the Costco stores near me are in states/counties that don't allow them to sell liquor.

That picture of The Macallan really pains me because even though Costco is based in Seattle, they also can't sell liquor in Washington State. Please don't post the price...

I normally add a little gingerale to my bourbon. But, since I wanted to give a opinion on the Costco brand I drank a glass with one ice cube. 4 person who does not normally drink it straight , I would say it was pretty good . Hmmm, must be nice to get good stuff without having to hit the liquor store. Who is making it for them?

I have searched the internet and found nothing about who is producing the Costco branded bourbon. Very curious about it, especially with that price.

There is pretty much no way for me to get my hands on any unless I happen to get a business trip to a state that has a Costco selling it.

The label, bottle, and color reminds me a little of Knob Creek, but thats total speculation.

Hmmpphh......no Costco's around here, and even if there were, they couldn't sell it. We have to go to the State run State Stores for our sippin' liquor.

How does shipping a "gift' work for something like this?

Probably falls under state law. I don't think there is a federal restriction on shipping alcohol in small quantities.

I'm a fan of the prime rib they sell during Christmas. Cooks up well and is priced right around $9 per pound out here in Los Angeles...
