Well said, PoP! Much more eloquently than I could have said it.

That blade speaks volumes. Amazing gesture!

Dogs:

Patrick's sister indicated that everything was lost and they had very little to remember Patrick by. So we, "The Brotherhood Of The Yard" are sending his sister a knife with his name and forum name on the blade.

I would like to thank Private Klink for all of his work in coordinating this effort.

Please keep Patrick and his family in your prayers

Dan

This is the reason I will never leave this place unless asked to.....

The family atmosphere here is absolutely wonderful and addictive.

Prayers for his Family for such a terrible loss. He is a hero in my book for fighting for our freedom.

I should have added that I received a couple of emails from Karen a few days ago, saying how amazed and appreciative she is by all the affection and comments expressed for her brother and family. As everything of Pat's was destroyed by the fire, she really cherishes the lanyards he had made for me and that I sent to her. I know they will all be greatly touched by the knife sent on behalf of ALL of us. I love this place!

Tom
I think it was wonderful of you to send the lanyards to Pat's family.
And what Dan did was amazing

Dan and Tom, Well done! Pop, your words ring so true. Dan is MUCH more than just the company owner, he is one of us. Many CEO's don't want much if anything to do with their "customers". Dan doesn't have customers, he has FAMILY that is willing to buy what he produces.

Tom, Thank you for getting this started. AND for your "above and beyond" to his family. AND Thank you for including ALL of in this remarkable tribute to a fellow Brother In Arms. I salute you and Dan both, for your thoughtfulness and willingness to show ALL our appreciation for a fallen Brother.

Taps, the last, loving tribute to a fallen comrade.

Fellow Dogs, I wanted to let you know that I shipped the knife to Pat's sister Karen yesterday, but took a couple of pictures first. Dan said it was OK for me to post them, so here they are:

I would like everyone to know that the knife was presented to Karen and Pat's family on behalf of the entire Scrap Yard community. I would again like to thank all of you for the kind thoughts and words that have been expressed in this thread. I would especially like to thank Dan Busse for making ALL of this possible. Long Live the Brotherhood of the Yard!!!

Thanks Dan for making it a TT type full flat grind "One off" blades. That will make it even more special.
