Don't know if you remember the 2x4 dodge bighorn quad cab we bought. 2008 with LESS THAN 20K now. Actual price paid $13,575.00. IF I do my part, I willget between 18-20 mpg NOT on the highway! 4.7 engine. But I have to keep it below 2K on the tac and NOT take off very fast. Not easy but can be done. I like Dodge! Anyone know how the Caliber is?

ECF, what is you MPG on the Jeep? You may not be seeing that much difference in fuel consumption--in 2wd. Now 4wd you will because you will be out having fun in it a lot more places.

Fredo, that is a good looking Sub........what kind of MPG do yu get in it?

Well, my Subaru run having two different fuels availables (hope to be able to explain): gasoline OR GPL (petroleum gas).
Using gasoline: 11 km per liter, so 24 MPR if my mat is good
Using GPL: 9 km per liter, so 21 MPR.

But: GPL cost half than gasoline, so I use normally GPL instead gasoline, also GPL is environmental friendly.

I've driven Jeep Compasses, a buddy of mine had a Rallye edition for a bit before he traded it (I still hate him for it ), and other than a few changes to the external fascia, as far as I know they're practically identical. May have a few differences in the suspension and other internal components, but they're the same basic vehicle.

Put it this way: I had a TON of fun with that Rallye on the mountain

I can almost watch the gas gauge go down when I'm really getting on the gas on my 1500, but if I'm light on the pedal and not too worried about getting there fast, it seems to really stretch the gas. I drove it for 4 days this week all around town (registration, etc.) and it used less than 1/4 tank of gas thus far. I think the tank is a 30 gallon though, because I filled it up at 1/4 full today, and it topped off at 26 gallons.

The Europeans sure are way ahead of us Americans in using progressive fuels. We have 1 E85 Ethanol station between 3 cities (as far as I know); Denver, Castle Rock, and Colorado Springs.

ECF...have you decided on a suspension upgrade?

Looks like your co-pilot there. All he needs is a pair of goggles.

Haven't decided yet on any sort of upgrades. It's going to be a while yet before I can afford to start yanking parts. First and foremost I need tires, and that's a couple hundred bucks I will have after I sell off the jeep.
