lazi, I have a remington speedmaster model 552. It's got a mini shroud over the ejection port. I used one like it that belonged to a friends older brother back in the 60's. I'm not sure when mine was made thought. Nice rifle. 22 short, long or long rifle! Not many of those around today!

Talk about coincidences! I have one of those too. It's actually my dad's, but I approprated it years ago. Love to shoot it. I killed my first squirrel with it, and my first deer as well. Lots of memories with that gun....

SR-77 with a RES-C grip slingshot? I'd buy one!

Does anyone know how to make a quality slingshot, given a SHTF scenario? I think it would make a great tool to have.
1 coat hanger, 50 red rubber bands and the waist portion of y our jeans as a patch. We used to make these and arm all the kids in the apartment complex I grew up in.

Basically bend the coat hanger in the shape of a slingshot using double bends, double up the rubberbands and string together using a loop though lock down to desired length and attach to patch and slingshot. We used to take out birds at 25 yards with ease. Unripened olives from a tree was our ammo! Works great!

I might have to go build one for old times sake!!!

Those were the good ole days!

did a little window shopping and came across a fairly new airgun by Stoeger called the X20S. It's a surpressed airgun that's kicking .177 or .22 pellets out at respectable speeds. Seems it's based on some fairly common makes of airguns being made in China. The price seems pretty good for the package. I have one of these on my short list now. That or a Benjiman Trail NP XL...

Good thread Lazi. I'm going to pick up a Ruger 10/22 tomorrow. It should be fun and cheap to shoot. I'm going with the black synthetic stock and stainless steel barrell.

I saw the stainless in dick's the other day. great looking gun.

my 10/22 has been a fun gun to own. stock i put on it worked out great for it. I want to change out the sights and that's it for that one. Later on would like to pick up a 10/22 charger. think I found a way to put iron sights on one and still have a scope rail. there's a just a million things you can do to a 10/22 that's for sure.
