Rich, Talk to them about nuisance critters. They will usually be more receptive if you volunteer to take out pests. And especially if you are just using a .22

I have a few farmers here in Utah who let me kill bunnies. They love it. They even tell me the best places to spot the crop robbers.

The Utah hunting website has a printable form you and the private land owner can sign. It is an agreement for you to respect his land and for you to hunt on his land. They are small cards you can put in your wallet. I can't find it, but I know I got it from this website: http://wildlife.utah.gov

It is mostly a CYA thing.

When I get back home, I'll see if I can find it for you.

I've even been invited in for a few beers after a successful hunt once. The old man was tickled I killed so many bunnies he wanted to toast me. Come to think of it, cottontails are still in season here and no permit needed.

My gunny has one and loves it. I fired it a few times and it felt great and I was getting tight groups in the first magazine.

My new plinker

Been wishing for this since the gold version was released last year. Much better design on this one IMO.

I picked this up a week ago, put this old scope on it and with no adjustment at all it shot this, standing at 25yards using a post to steady.
