Need to hear from the Yard on this one. I can't decide which Reg shape I prefer.

Which one is your favorite?

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the pointy tip. So the mil overrun for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />.

well I have the TT but I'm still kicking myself for missing out on the latest offering. I really like the looks of that blade shape.

Test Team Regulator! Hands down best knife ever. And if you grind a rounded choil in yours even better.

I have to say, that is the first time I have seen an MRE heater used with a pan. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

This is my favorite. I do use my Reg 6.5 more often though.

JJ - any reason you use your 6.5 reg more than the original?

The 6.5 because it's the only one I own?

I actually passed on the original because I didn't like the tip design.

JJ - any reason you use your 6.5 reg more than the original?

It is adds less weight to my pack when hiking/cycling/camping and the original is more of a fighting design especially after my mod to it. The original Mil Overrun functions great as a utility blade, but is more suited for a combat zone than a relaxing weekend in the woods.

If I am deployed, I would leave the 6.5 at home and bring the Reg Bayonet. Chances are I wouldn't/won't need the fighting characteristics of the Reg Bayonet even in a combat zone, but I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

If I could only keep an original non-modified Reg or the 6.5, I'd go with the 6.5 for it's usability and weight.

Hope that helps.
