I would love to see a Scrapyard knife produced between 5 and 7 1/2inces in blade length at about .20 to 0275 in thickness, preferably out of SR-77, but SR-101 would be ok. Is there any chance of something like that coming in the not so distance future? Are there any other Dogs out there that would be interested in a blade like that?

Interesting

Dan

How about a spear point, no choil, S6 variant? That would be interesting! (The original spec' did sound like a SOD or S6 to me too)

Sooooo...if Dan says "interesting" does that mean that's what's coming next?

SS5?

I'm still pushing the mud puppy and the growlok (yes I made up the name, but if I use it enough, it'll catch on, right? )

That size but 1/8" to 3/16" stock with a full flat grind so it slices like a laser !!!

1/8" is too thin. Doubt it would be quite as indestructible as a slightly thicker blade. I've been suprised by bussekin before though...

I have a few 1/8" stock blades made outta 1095 steel and I really beat on them.
I'm quite sure an 1/8" SR101 blade with the Busse-kin heat treat would hold up to all usual knife tasks no problem.

Heck yes! SOD, with a FFG in 1/8 or 3/16. In SR101.
