I have been thinking about heading that way this summer, especially after the foot heals. I want to do it after a rain though, softer soil LOL.

Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.
Its the only public diamond mine in the U.S. that's allowed -thank you De Beers!

Ok, I've heard of it. I thought you were talking about that great big hole in the ground out in the Western U.S. Oh and it IS a BIG hole!

They are found within the pockets of or embedded in basalt matrix, which is extremely tough rock to break open.

Right skunk, its more of a marketing ploy. However, they are rare for the U.S.
