Hi I got my Esse survival and E&E kit and thought I would share it with you.

First the pouch it comes in is heavy duty and well stitched.

The front pocket holds the fishing kit and the energy boost.

The large compartment has the following..

The first item is the water proof bag

The next is the main survival kit bag

The next is the medical kit bag

Here is the main survival kit opened up

Fire rod with striker, notice serrations on the tip
Four tinder starters

Next is a magnifier, fresnal lense

Next is the wire saw, which is a well made version and some brass snare wire

Next is the write in the rain waterproof paper, pencil, and signal mirror

Close up of the signal mirror, it is small but well built. The golf pencil shows how small it really is.

Next is the water purification tablets, two packages. Micro pur brand.

Next we have the signal and direction section, a mini liquid compass, a very powerful whistle, and a plastic hand cuff key,

Next a piece of kevlar cord, this can be used as a saw besides the cordage features.

This section is the close up of the medical kit. For such a small kit it has alot of things to cover most emergencies. The anti clotting agent is a real nice addition to the kit. You will also notice the suture kit and needle.

This is the fishing kit out of the bag. You have some light fishing line, a mini lure and a couple of small hooks and three small sinkers.

Here is a close up of the stay alert energy gum package

I also keep in the bag a Esee fire starter kit. Here it is shown next to a Esee Izula 2 for size.

It has a waterproof container for tinder, etc. and a mini compass. The outside of the anodized container is printed with survival instructions.

Alot of people make their own kits, myself included. But this is a great pre made kit. The components are top quality and it is well thought out. You can add to it. The bag it comes in has room left and has a belt loop and d clip for attaching to a pack.

All in all I recommend it.
I hope you liked this, it was alot of resizing pics:)
Thanks for looking

Great write up and pics Sar5. I like the kit and it seems like a good starting point and fairly well stocked. I like to build my own survival packs/kits but this is a nice one. I wonder how the ESEE firestarter kit compares to others like the liteMyFire one?

Thanks for the review! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the review. Very thorough. Very nice being able to see the products in detail up close. Seriously considering this survival kit.

ESEE makes fantastic products and Jeff and Mike are top notch characters.
It's no surprise this is as good as it is.
Thanks you for the breakdown, write up and fantastic pics SAR5!!!!
