My biggest surprise about the new Muk was the thinner handle slabs, it's a good thing though, I like'm!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Nice pictures Jeff. Thanks. As you mentioned elsewere, The G10 is heavier than the Micarta. Mine is certinly handle heavy with a balance point about 1.5" back from the bolster face and weighs 8.1 oz. on my scale. Where does a Micarta Muk balance and weight?

It balances right behind the first eyelet/rivet. The weight is 7.8 oz. It doesn't make as much difference on these handles, but on some of the thicker handles knives you can easily feel the weight difference.

And here's a modern take on the Nessmuk trio. What do you think of this combo? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I was wondering for a minute there, I thought it was some form of a knife with the tip broken off. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

It's actually a LMAX by Nemesis, I didn't like the handle so I've been working on a new handle. So Far it's working out pretty well, I want to be able to fold it and easily for store in small pack. Here it is in another position. The handle is a work in progress. So far so good though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I thought it made a nice modern addition to the Muk. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

One of the things that got me interested in it was that the head is made of S7. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I figured that since Dan made some good S7 blades, that this one might be good. So far it does really well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
