Glad it's coming convexed. Saves me some trouble That's the only trouble for me lol I don't know how to sharpen convex. Freehand yes but so for null on the convex. This will be my motivation though! leather strop w/compound and follow the bark river tutorials, not hard at all.

STEELEY! BRO! HOW MANY TIMES WE BEEN OVER THIS???? Get a strop. Watch the vids. It is so much easier than freehand sharpening with a stone (in my opinion )

Sand paper/mouse pad works too. I just reprofiled my first blade that way. A Gerber Freeman in S30V that had an insanely dull edge and a wickedly squirrely secondary bevel. The mouse pad worked well--reprofiled as I sat through one sitcom. Now I'm trying to get it sharp. Probably could've taken it down to a much finer grit paper but I'm trying to strong arm it on a strop with the aggressive abrasive May go back to paper for a bit. S30V is some hard stuff to work with!
All this is tangential of course since the WAR DOG has a CONVEX SECONDARY BEVEL! Woo Hoo!

It reminds me of an improved Dumpster Mutt. Bit slimmer, updated design (more bod-doggish), new handle, and INFI!! Loving it! since my knife budget is so tight, i think im gonna have to pass one this one for this reason - i have a dumpster mutt and use it for everything id use the war dog for, so the dumpster mutt would just sit around doing nothing, and its held up to everything ive thrown at it.. plus i have a nice custom sheath for it.. so no ill wait and get my chopper eventually XD
Knife Newb!
