It looks like you had great weather and a beautiful site to fish and good company. I've always wanted to learn to fly fish but never did, I always just used a spinning reel with live bait. I'm looking at your pictures and getting very hungry but no fish or ribs here . May get some for the grill tomorrow.

Love fishing. Never do enough for my taste.

Working a taught line for his life verses your meal is one I never take for granted.
Thank God Jesus loved his fisherman so well or I might have second thoughts about making them work so hard to keep off my plate for so many years.

Fishing, catch and release was new to me. A real tried and true fisherman friend of mine showed me how it felt to give the fish back after I won the fight.

I cried like a baby the first time. I was 50,and it never dawned on me to do that.

I had fished my whole life taking schools of pan fish some so small I could hardly fillet them. Making 30-40 fish on a Sunday afternoon for friends and neighbors while we screamed at the television for our favorite team.

I fish now just for the sport of it. When I eat fish it is from the grocer or the local restaurant. I lost my taste for the river side fish dinner.

Just because I had a revelation that one sunny day. Funny huh?

Your day looked like TONS of fun! I miss those conversations by the river.
We all need some me time don't we?

Peace,
David

I am envious of your trip--great food, great time with family, great fishing, great scenery, and great steel. Can't ask for anything else.

The chef master, Liana, found a recipe for the trout on line. She stuffed them with rose marry and wrapped them with bacon on the outside. They were yummy, I was thinking of you for the last one but someone scarffed it.

Makes me want to go fishing too. That bacon wrap looks like the ticket.
