A few photos and thoughts. I actually thought I was going out for a good test and hike, but the skeeters weren't impressed with the amount of OFF I doused myself with. They ate me up! Anyhoo...here we have the Mud Puppy, Koyote EDC Convex and Izula 2...along with my lovely assistant- the Camp Tramp!

I rushed through some stake making, notching cross-batonning and batonning...

Tough and well made all! That was some hard wood folks and the MP hit a knot and I beat the heck out of it with zero problem. It's the big- little knife of this group. They all cut very well, but the Koyote is the real gem as a small woods knife. Goes through wood like nothing and the ergos are awesome. I've used it a lot and my hand never gets tired or finds hot spots. The Izula 2 is the smallest of the group and works big.

Tip strength? They got it!

A little size comparison with a folder I'm enjoying a lot- the Ritter Griptilian.

A little steak cutting here and again the Koyote takes it and the MP is a step behind. A Horn Dog sharpening job did give it an "edge" over the izula.

The Mud Puppy still brings it out in me...I just want to beat the thing like I'm mad at it! Like I said, it's the big-little knife of this group and the one I would have the most faith in a bad situation. It's seems like the type of knife you want at work for the dirty/hard jobs. Or sitting in a bug out bag, because this knife will take care of you! The Koyote is just a sweet, sweet all around knife that does it all so well and treats your hand great. I haven't used the Izula 2 much but I carried a 1 all last summer. This little guy works bigger than it should. Comfy, good ergos and so easy to carry- what's not to like?! I did roll the edges on the izula 1 a few times, but nothing crazy and I was using it pretty hard.

Thanks for the review of some sweet knives.

ESEE's motto is "everyone should have an Izula", and its a great knife for sure, but seriously, EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A MUPPY, its my favorite knife of all time.

I already have enough of them, and after the CG came out, I'll pick up a couple more if I can find them at cost, no excuse to not have one in every bag, car, room, well you get the idea

hah! Thanks guys...in general it was nice to get out.

Had planned on going away for the holiday w/e, but my boy popped a fever and we are home. I'd wanted to see how these 3 stack up for awhile.

I've been edc my cupid for a couple weeks now as a necker. I will say it "hides" a lot better than I thought it would. Haha, I don't exactly have a flat chest and stomach (think a beach ball cut in half)! Anyway, I am impressed with how easily it disappears under just a T-shirt. I am loving it and IF you hold it just right the prybar end corner doesn't dig into your hand!

Yes, I don't have a Scrapivore, just Cupids for My wife and I and an extra just because.

EDIT: Forgot to say that this small blade is a lot more useful than I would have thought. I guess I have fallen into the mindset that a fixed blade needs to be bigger than a folder.

Yeah, these small blades are handy! I am surprised how the extra .5" changed carry for the izula 1 and 2. The 1 was perfect in my jeans and cargo shorts- just disappeared and I know I have the 2. But, it's real nice.

All three of these are sweet blades for me. Just a bit of difference in function and form....

Great pics and review RN. I wonder how a Scrapivore would have done compared to these...?

Thanks for the pics and review.
