Ok. My dilema. I want leather for the War Dog. I'm thinking a black dangler with kydex inserts, firesteel loop and either a pouch or a piggyback for a swamp warden.
Soooo which goes better: black or tan handle <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Sounds like it will be a nice set up, look forward to seeing it. Maybe a Scrapavore would be a little smaller and better fit size and Scrapyard theme.

I like a darker brown I have a Dark Brown Ostrich inlay double setup from Rainwalker for my SoDLE/S5LE the black handles look good with it. I do have a Black SpecOps combat master that my Tan handled Regulator lives in and it looks good too.
Don't think you could go wrong either way so I ain't voting!
Not sure about piggybacking a skelly with the WarDog. The War Dog is small enough that I don't see the advantage of having a skelly with it. Also not sure why you would want the Kydex insert, just more chance to scratch the blade. Go all leather and get a DFLE to piggyback the War Dog on.

all my sheaths are kydex. Almost all my blades are scratched.
A black leather drop leg does sound nice, but I'm gona beat this war dog. Kydex scratches prolly wont be able to compete with the user scratches my WD is going to get. I'm planning on taking it to the auto junk yard next time I go with my cousin and his buddy.

TAN HANDLE, cause it's different. Get some leather (maroon)dyed up with your fireloop and a piggyback for a Cupidvore! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> Dare to be different, start a trend! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I always prefer the black itblack looks better to me. I know tan has become the new it color it seems because of the wars in the middle east but they just don't look as good to me, of course they will both do the deed.

I feel like Tan is a fad due to the deployments in the sandbox. I really hope that we don't have to be there much longer and in turn the tan fad will die away.
An idea that just popped into my head is that the tang is begging for a traditional stacked steel bolster and bone handle. A Scandinavian look.

Jrod...the obvious answer is...I'm broke <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Randy, I'm gonna ignore yer comments <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Sethro, I'm thinking kydex insert to keep the sheath safe. I'm planning to beat this knife so I'm not too worried about scratches on it. Now if I HAD a DFLE, that WOULD be a sweet set up. You offering to give me one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I have a black (well loved) and a moss warden (still new) I could piggyback. Also have an orange scrapivore, but that's probably going in my BoB with my Regulator.
C'mon guys, keep 'em coming!
