I hear ya Andrew. Hopefully you will like it and if not I'm sure there will be future releases that are more to your liking. They did post pics and explanations regarding the handle gaps but I guess you missed the post. They shouldn't cause any issues though and I think if you look up the post on it they even recommend a way to deal with them (remove them). Good luck!

No, I caught it. It wasn't posted until after I had placed my order though. I think I even had a shipping notice prior to the post. I don't think it is going to be a problem though. I've intentionally tried to rust it through some typical neglect one might expect after a hard days use and not so much as a spot appeared. Not bad for not being stainless.
