Welcome to the Yard Gun Dog. My tastes tend to shift around a bit, but my dream survival knife would be very similar to the Ratmandu but in an LE format, no epoxy.

10.5" regulator with the 6.5" regulator blade profile. I would also piggyback a scrapivore on the sheath.
How could anyone just have one knife!!!

I think the DF with micarta would be the game stopper here. The res-c is fine for grip and comfy for hacking but when you start whacking the top of the blade to baton wood the vibration from the handle hurts.

A leatherman with a 22 mag pistol that folds out.
Seriously though, a multitool will be the first thing I grab in a SHTF moment.

Every full tang knife I own (including customs) transmits WAY more shock to my hand while batonning than any of the res-c handled knives I've ever owned. This is a major selling point for me.

SF, you are not canting the handle up or down are you? It needs to be flat with the blade or you will get some feeling from it. I have notice that on non Res-C blades and then when I got everything level it wasn't an issue for me.
