SkunkHunter: EZE-LAP sharpener. OK, I'll look into it. Just saw a video where a guy had a small Altoids box with some wet/dry sandpaper inside and a piece of leather glued to the outside for a strop. Said it worked great. I'm still learning about dealing with convex edges, having spent a lifetime using stones for a simple v-edge.

Amals, me as well. Never had to mess with convex until I got my WarDog.

Yes, a LOT of people use the mousepad/sandpaper and leather method for sharpening and maintaining their blades. I never have. I've always used the regular V Grind and have never felt cheated. That sharpener is made of brass and the rod is screwed into the "Handle" for storage and of course removed and inserted with the rod out for use. It's a strong unit.

if the duki were to hit the fan, I'm sure I would be going for the Chopweiler.
