VoiVod!! Chaos Mongers!

I can't believe I listed Bay Area bands like Lethal Creed but forgot Exodus!?

Yeah, my very first heavy album (Not Van Halen, AC/Dc etc) was Maidens Killers album..Steve made me think Bass Players were cool. Geddy was great and so was Entwistle but Steve Harris was a BadA$$!

Then Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Overkill at the same time Misfits, Black Flag DK, CoC started getting play. The big four really helped to get Metal Heads into punk and Slayer started getting punks at the shows

Jerry Cantrell was a great guitarist, I haven't heard the new "Alice" Soungarden was also cool.

PINK FLOYD, I have been to three concerts. My first one was 1977 in Montreal, 1992 in Denver and saw Roger Walters in DC this year. When I really want to shut the world off and the wife is out, I put in some PINK FLOYD and I'm checked out.
Heck yes Pink Floyd! Well I listen to a ton of music.
Impending Doom, Demon Hunter, August Burns Red, Amon Amarth, The Crimson Armada, Norma Jean, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Megadeth, and I listen to complete opposites of that music as well, Louise Armstrong, Adele, Audioslave, JAZZ! Love Jazz. I play piano, played bass until I had to sell it . My Pandora channel is the max amount of playlists, I can have 100 and I have deleted some to make room for more.

BTW RIP RJD, I saw Dio at the Concert Barn in Antioch on the Holy Diver Tour, Rough Cutt opened up. It was a GREAT show!

My last concert I went to was Sleep in San Francisco last year:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1OkELnt_NA

But lately I have been listening to the new Radiohead album, MGMT(Siberian Breaks in particular), Arcade Fire(???), Dr. Octagon(Kool Keith), Black Sabbath, and a lot of Reggae(summer).

Whatever I am in the mood for.

Unless I'm with my wife. Then its all pure country and old school hip hop and R&B(I love that stuff too).

Music is food for the soul.

Very good subjection, that right now would be the best metal.

Hard to answer... Will try to make it short.

I worked in a music store (cds and tapes) for shout 5 years and after thats I worked in another music store (instruments) for a about 6 years. If you can imagine having access to almost everything musical and actually being able to appreciate all styles of music then you have an idea of what I listen to.

So its easier to say what I don't listen to... That would only be anything that outright blatantly and foolishly sucks! And yodeling! And I would actually listen to it but just not a second time hopefully!

I am mostly hiphop/rap but that's more of the default setting for me. Some guys say they listen to everything but it would be very expensive and time consuming to invest in music the way I have been able to. It has been in my job description in some form or fashion for the last 12 years or so. I can say that a large portion of my paycheck usually went right back into music for most of my working career. If not buying CDs then it was buying equiptment . I have had my own personal recording studio(s) for the past 15 years or so and started into music production in the early 90's. I mostly just do and various electronic music but again that's just the default.

My CD collection was pretty insanely random and included some pretty cool stuff. I honestly listened to so much that I started to forget the names of it all. I remember Aerosmith and Frank Zappa when I last decided to alphabetize my CD collection. ...Okay, just deleted some because it was getting long. Il just say I had a crap load of CDs from various artists ranging from common music to complete crap. I also had access to crap loads of promo CDs so I was able to have stuff that I would normally never buy. So it became sort of a "why not?" collection in some cases. I even used to have one CD that I would play for people just to show them how crappy music can actually be. You think you know... I shudder just thinking about it. But I love it all!

I lost hundreds of CDs from car breakins and sold off a scary amount a few years ago. Even lost quite a few to friends and family "forgetting" they had them. I still have enough to waste an entire day shuffleing between random genres. I even get a good laugh when I see I still have a Yanni cd or some Tibetan chant music or something. But II really will pop in A Cuban percussion and rythm disc right after Led Zepplin, Edife Piaf or a string of old No Limit Records CDs. I'm just more likely to be banging out Tribe Called Quest and UGK... Will even spend a day listening to various music that I may not particularly even "like". Somebody likes it and it all has it's place and is no more or less "music" no matter I may feel about.

Oh and if I have the money on me I will usually buy anything original music from any just about anybody selling there stuff in person. Guy on the street selling his rap/rock/country cd or whatever... I'm game!

And last... Even though rap is the default, I love anything with a well played lap steel or pedal steel!

I listen to metal, rock, blues, country, classical. I like music that is played with real instruments not with computers. And that spears-rihanna-etc kind of pop I donīt like, nor do I listen to rap.

My last consert was Eric Claptons in Helsinki.

I (almost)play guitar Not too good with it. Iīd like to learn piano.

Cool Lazi...I'm very similar. I have a large collection of CD's, Tapes and records (remember those?) and I am also an audiophile so I have spent lots of money on audio equipment. Basically, I have too many hobbies. I also like Home theater so I have lots of DVDs and Blu-Rays. I guess I'm a media/music/electronics junkie.

As I said, I truly do and can listen to nearly everything.

Not too much rap, but I can listen to Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Eminem (some), 2-live Crew and others. but, I consider my default genre to be metal.

So much music...I need more $$$$.
