I see this as one great knife. It is a bit of a negative that there will be more out there, but as far as a user I see it as one of the best the yard has produced. The name War Dog suggests fighting knife and I see that purpose but I see it also as a great bushcrafter and or hunting knife as well. I think that I prefer the mudder handle a bit better, but it is close and the more I handle the War Dog the more I like it. It will be on my side this deer season.

Thx skorpyd afther hearing all good about your experience with the knife I feel that I made the right decision to get me a second one ...

As for the collector value I think it was better if they went verry fast out of the shop...

But afther all the chaos I've seen on Ebay and people that missed out on the War Dog, All those reports of happy War Dog owners must be unbearable for the ones that missed out on it. But the heavy knife user and Dog in me are pretty happy that al those others can share the joy of the War Dog.

Also knowing I am starting a Weapons store in the near future, It would be a good knife to represent Scrapyard knives. It is clearly a alarounder of a knife But I don't know the policy of the big dog on selling there knives in a store ....

Anyone know how to order with a moneyorder anymore? No "print and call" option

I think you can just put a note in your order. I did that with the last WD I ordered. Just send Renee a note and let her know to keep it on the straight and narrow.

If it is re-released then it is not limited. Like mentioned above if this is a new business model I will not loose sleep over it now or in the future. The War Dog is a nice blade, so far I like it the best of any of my Infi Yard blades.

SF45ACP and I used our War Dogs tonight in whipping up 14 pounds of venison chorizo and another 10 pounds of Italian sausage. I was ASTOUNDED at how well that 1/4"+ thick steel sliced through frozen venison and some frozen pork ribs I was also doing up. It is a fantastic blade and much better of a slicer than I would have thought. It certainly put to shame every knife in my kitchen drawer (which isn't very hard to do )

I say, keep that sucker in the store! I'm really not too concerned with keeping the prices overly jacked up on the secondary market (over $300 on ebay for a WD!!!!). If this puts more Scrap Yard INFI in more people's hands, then I say that's awesome!

I took my black WRD out camping this WE & beat the heck out of it.
Got the handle all dirty throwing it & was thinking I'd like to have a tan one too.
Now to come up with the bucks.
Hope it's not a mistake & they stick around for awhile.

Completely agree with this.
Don't care about the resell value, a knife is made for being used and not for flippers to make a lot of money on it.
I hope they last at least until august.
When SWMBO is away for a couple of weeks I might be able to get one

I wonder, because I would guess most bussekin knives are safe queens given.

A number of us received ours weeks after the mass shipping. In response to an email, said Renni made a comment about production not starting back up until the weeks after blade. My guess is they outsold the available stock, or had a bunch re-aquired by busse combat for Blade, a had to run another batch.

I have some pics of DT and myself doing it up with the WD's and getting the job done. After eating my fill of BBQ today, I'll try and get the pics posted. I'm getting ready to see the wife off today. She's heading to Okinawa for a month to visit her family.
