I gather the stippling job did not go well.

I had thought about doing the solder gun thing to a gun and some knives once. But with my luck I just KNEW I would mess it up.

The stippling turned out well, at least I think it did. Its just that the voices in my head for most of the time I was doing the stippling kept screaming "what the H_LL are you doing??, you know you can't go back???" by the time I was done I had a huge grin...might have been from inhaling all the smoke from the plastic though.. ![[Linked Image from i258.photobucket.com]](http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh265/wkropf/Grip%20Stippling/100_4614.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i258.photobucket.com]](http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh265/wkropf/Glass%20bead%20blasting/100_4657.jpg)

Interesting look! Nice job (on the bleaching and the stippling). I think a nice vinegar or condiment patina is more my speed though--call me chicken That, or a nice natural patina from years of dedicated usage But a really nice job, nonetheless!

It did turn out nice WK! But did you have to "knock down the edges" any?
Oh and you sound like me DT!

nope I left it rough, it really bites into the hand. Doesn't blister or tear skin but it won't slip out of the shooters grip

The M&P looks great. I have had a few M&P's and Glocks I had a gunsmith buddy do. He does it for a living and I had shot his personal gun to know for sure. I do know the stippling helps with sweaty hands and it DOES NOT grab clothes like one would think.

(2nd pic) ![[Linked Image from i44.photobucket.com]](http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f49/postban/Handguns/MP9c/IMG_0176.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i44.photobucket.com]](http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f49/postban/Handguns/MP9c/th_IMG_0203.jpg) Also they have the sear mod as well, greatly improves trigger feel. Also, way cool finish on the Patinavore.
