Could someone explain a slightly convex edge? I this looks nice though!

Instead of a pure flat grind I put a small degree of convex in the blade to add incremental strength. It contributes to increasing the performance to price ratio of the knife.

Does this help?

Dan
Yah I understand makes sense! One more question <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> Does this mean the edge itself is convex or still a V edge? Thanks big dog.

One more pic I found, photo credit to messer454.

It's like he predicted the future by including the Basic 6 LE and the SYKCO 511 in the same pic <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

The 511 is listed as a 5.5" and the B6 as a 6.5", but they look very close to the same length. Just an observation, I'll be ordering both.

Yep me too, both Busse boys done good! However with Dan I can afford to buy two!! My one regret with the S6- was only buying one!

Anyway, the 511 strikes me as a great design for a small field/bushcraft/survival/utility knife. I'm looking forward to beating one up!

Sweet! I'm definitely in for one of these babies. This was one of my favorites at the show.

Awesome! I voted correctly in Knotslip's poll <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Dan, do you have updated pictures to share? The 511 shown in the Blade Show pictures posted here, does not seem to reflect the Sabre Grind mentioned in your specs. Could just be the lighting (and coating)...but it would be great to see a more detailed pic.

Best,

Max

Great design Dan! (Took you long enough!) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

No kidding on taking long enough...see what happens when you drink to much bourbon and dream of knives.

The good news is that bottle ran out and I stopped dreaming LOL <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Dan

The question I have is,
