Hi All, I just happened to look at the Place order page and saw that they have the Rodent 9 by Swamp Rat up for sale so I jumped on it and ordered one.
$198.95 Specs: Blade Length: 9 1/2" OAL: 15 1/4" Steel: SR-101 Hardness: 58-60 RC Thickness: 1/4" Handles: Black Canvas Micarta Blade Width: 1 5/8" Grind: Ultra Convex Saber Bevel
Oh man I have spent way too much on knifes the last couple of months but I could not pass on this.

I just checked the swamprat website and it is under construction - I'll bet thats why they are selling the Rodent 9 here.

I just checked the swamprat website and it is under construction - I'll bet thats why they are selling the Rodent 9 here. Or that drunk guy is at it again. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

So it seems there are no handle options at this time. Seeing as the credit card is screaming and a Rucki due soon, I think I'll wait a little to see if I can get a matching red/black handle.

The handle definetly is different looking and is one of the reasons I ordered as soon as I saw it.
I'm sure Dan will offer a 911 so other big blades will become available but this handle looks unique enough that I wanted one.
And I hope its not the drunk posting error again because I spread the news here and at Bladeforums.
I also ordered the 10" sheath hopefully they fit.
I did receive order confirmation already.
Man I gotta join an knife lover additction group.
