You know after looking at the pictures again I personally like the looks of the one with the choil better. BUT I would rather have (If I could afford it)the choil less version and would modify it this way.

Take a Chainsaw file and file a half moon circle at the junction of the plunge line and the squared off section, taking the metal out of the cutting edge. This would allow for sharpening the entire edge all the way to the end.
I agree with you on all counts. I'm going to go with Choilless just to have something different. Maybe I'll send it to you for an ill choil <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

There it is! I'm sure it's out of my range, but I like it.

Yeah, it's a nice looking knife for sure. (but if it had SN 105 it would be a lot better! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I like the looks fo the choil better as well. Do people really chop that close to the handle that they need a choiless chopper? I understand for smaller blades but not the bigger ones...

That no choil option is making my head spin. I hope they offer the B8 in choilless.

I would actually love to see the 711 and 911 come out with a choilless option. Hint hint!

The chief cause of unhappiness and failure is trading what you want most in life for what you want at the moment.

Agreed! I'm loving the Choilless B-10.

Although the the Choilless BJ was tempting, I couldn't bring myself to order one. I knew I would end up cutting myself, so I went with a choil. I think with the B-10, it would be a lot less likely that I'd reach for the choil subconsciously.

It shouldn't cost as much as the Bushwackers did. They were a little over $300. Micarta scales are more expensive than Resiprene handles. The BWM was my grail knife. I bought 2 in CG and 1 LE. I have since sold one of the CGs, but I'm keeping my fully convexed CG. That Basic 10 should be a fine chopper, like a DFLE in INFI!

Got my attention. Not sure about choil vs no choil. I like the idea of a choil
if I need to choke up, just trying to determine if I would ever really choke up on the blade. But, based on what I've heard about these, it is an excellent chopper, and merits a purchase.
