The youngest is a boy. The way her mother acts, he is the ONLY child that matters. There are still two surviving girls, Patty and her younger sister, but their mom does nothing but see how much she can get out of them. AND the other one has wised up and has told her Mom, ENOUGH, so guess what....

we almost wound up in divorce court a couple of times because of her family.

I'll have to figure something creative out for the 2011 update to lament the passing of the OLD ZDC.

We were paying my mother-in-laws extra charges while she was in hospice, because we wouldn't see her without, all the while the youngest sister was still getting money from the m-i-l to pay her bills.
She was in hospice for 11 months, and virtually everything of worth 'disappeared' when the m-i-l was living with the youngest.
The middle brother was almost as bad.

But what it did for us was instead of daily visits lasting all day (usually 2 or 3 of them), it became multiple phone calls a day
