Now I have either 8 or 10 hardback books to work on, but I got them at a flea market. Paid 4 bucks for the most expensive one and the others I got from ONE market and the owner only charged me 3 bucks plus I can sell them back to her for 2. We know the owner and her two main employees.

I have a couple hardcover, one is my much re-read leather-bound edition of the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy omnibus edition, and my special printing box set of stephen kings dark tower series, I have a few others but most where bought second hand and the like

I USED to read all the time, then I found this place. Kind of changed my routine!

I had to stop reading for awhile after I quit smoking, the two things just tied together in my brain, I loved sitting outside and reading , drinking coffee and smoking for hours, I really need to start reading again

I've read a couple of the dark tower books, pretty good. I finally saw the HHG on TV but never read it.

Ah, the books are pretty great, the movie was a bit of a disappointment, but they usually are, I enjoyed it but it could have been better. Douglas Adams always said that as his series moved into different media, it should change, because who wants to see the same thing over and over again, stuff should evolve as it passes through different media forms

I love the dark tower series, it's not the greatest written series or anything, but the total idea and sweeping scope of it just make it excellent

Never reading the book I can't really comment, but it was a fun movie to watch with a weird twist, Growing Planets? Oh well, it WAS a movie after all.

Yeah, I liked the stand a lot, I've read a large chunk of his books, I was on a King kick awhile back where I was reading everything by him, what's cool is how much ofnhis work ties into the Dark Tower series

The first Dark tower book, the Gunslinger was the first story he every wrote, and the Dark Tower itself is the lynch pin that connects all of his worlds ( books) so there is some really cool bleed over from some stories to the next, all going back to the problems with the Tower that the Gunslinger ( Roland) is questing to fix
