The 2250 book is fictional fictional. World decay after Nuclear destruction, Mutant animals and some people have "Powers" and can communicate with animals, yada yada yada. Ah, those are fun to read, although I prefer Alas, and Earth Abides because they are more realistic, super fictional stuff is a lot of fun to read

Oh man, that DOES have some nice figuring to it. Personally I don't like stabilized woods. To me they feel like a rock, so hard and unyielding and will break just like a rock cracking off. That's kinda what I was worried about wit the skizzy, but I like the way it feels so far, and seeing how I've been thinking about sending my zilla in of micarta slabs, might be fun to try out wood slabs first

I might try and find that book (earth abides). Wikipedia makes it sound pretty good.

I like the ones that are fairly believable. Makes them actually seem as if things could happen that way.

I followed and ultimately bought and read EVERY ONE of the Out of the Ashes books by William Johnstone. Sort of Far fetched but the actual settings, the things they do (a lot of it) is believable.

AFternoon! Well my two weeks of fall are over. We had a little snow this morning. Just enough to take the kid out and have some fun. Built a snowman and had a snowball fight.
