Patty and I are watching Terra Nova on Fox. Pretty good so far. At least so far they have not gotten WAY out there. Actually believable, as long as you consider time travel is possible.

I plan on watching season II of The Walking Dead.

Fence jumping is bad form and a good way to make sure you get a farmer angry.

Yup, sure is! But it happens all the time. Once MANY years ago when Dad owned 60 acres "Up in the hills" some guys tried quail hunting on the property without permission (they were from St. Louis) and I told them we didn't allow hunting on the property. Well they left in a strange direction.

I told Dad that I was going to go see If I could find any squirrels in the 20 acre fenced in hog lot. I took off toward the back side and just as I came up out of a draw onto the ridge top there they were lifting their bird dog over the fence. I came out from behind a tree and leveled my 16 gauge at the dog and told them "We don't allow hunting on our property". Well they got mad that I was pointing the gun at the dog. I told them IF the dog runs our hogs the dog is dead. Leave with a live dog or stay and then leave with a dead one. They left.

We had a problem with a neighbor poaching on our farm. He killed 6 deer on our property. All out of season

I hope he "Paid" for those transgressions.

I have a cousin that poached deer for years. Season in or out didn't matter. The conservation dept also knew he did it. They were very poor and he got about two MAYBE three a year and used them to feed his family. In season he DID buy a tag though. Oh I guess I should say they never bothered him. Such was the country 45 years ago.

I'm also looking forward to the new season of The Walking Dead. I've probably watched the first one like 3 times. I'm glad that this season will be 12 episodes.

WOW! Two shows on two consecutive nights that I want to watch (Walking Dead and Terra Nova). I hope our TV can handle being on that much!

I don't have a problem with shooting deer out if season to feed your family. I've done it myself when I was growing up and times were tough. But shooting them for fun irks me in season or out.
