I've sold off a Sig P229 .40S&W, L1a1 (fal clone) and a couple knives.

I've never sold any of my knives, but I've been thinking of it. I've got a lot of money tied up in steel that I just don't use.

Oh yeah and I sold off a beretta (benelli actually I THINK) 12 ga police shotgun.

I've got a DDF that has never seen the outside of the safe. Same for my SOD. Either I'm a collector and keep them without using them, or I'm a knife user that has some that need broken in. Decisions, decisions.

for some reason I just can't wrap my head around selling guns.

I sold off all of my duplicate knives and a couple that I just didn't need. only one that really stung was the DDF. at the time it was too much knife and it was just going to sit in the closet. still was just ridiculously nice knife though. the next time it's just going to have to sit in the closet.

just read about the DDF... all I can say is when that one left there was a void. not a void that necessarily must be filled but its there. and sumo warned me...

Only reason I haven't sold it yet is because it was a grail knife when I was looking for it. Now that I have it I just can't bring myself to use it.

I wish I had bought one that was already broken in so I wouldn't feel bad about marking it up. I know they're made to be used, but I'm more than a little OCD about some things like that.

actually the exact same thing happened to me. I wouldve done myself a favor to has smashed it into a bunch of stuff the second I got it.

my advice. go home, take it outside, and beat the tar out of something with it. put it back in the safe and repeat whenever you get the urge.

everything I have now are meant to be users. a couple still haven't quite been used yet but they are to be users in my mind. dont want that grey area again because those don't feel quite right being around.

That's what I should have done.....but I didn't. I've got my SOD on my desk right now trying to decide if I should use it or sell it.
