Most of it was thigh deep but a few spots under waterfalls were chest deep.

I hear ya MB. Just like Biking shorts, an old fat man like me looks weird in them but for biking the way I used to, they make the most sense and are comfortable for riding. Just like shaving your legs. Sounds "Girlie" for a man to do, but if you crash not having any leg hair makes the healing so much quicker and not as sick looking.
