And I sometimes wonder why we need time zones in this country. Seems like one time should be ok, but I guess there is good things to having 4 time zones.

You know that time zones were started by the railroads. They needed a way to let folks know when a train would be in a certain area/at a certain place. I guess from what little reading I've read about it that almost every place had their own time.

Talking about time, did you know that the "atomic" clock at the U.S. Naval Observatory doesn't really tell time. It measures time INTERVALS if I remember correctly and they just carry it over to a "Regular" clock for accurate time.

Something about the rate of decay of uranium, I think it is. Not sure how they run a clock by it though.
